The 8 Regions

From the snowy plains of Hokkaido to the tropical islands of Okinawa, Japan is divided into 8 regions: Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto (Tokyo), Chubu (Alps), Kansai/Kinki (Kyoto/Osaka), Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu-Okinawa.
